Clark Howard Update
Well I learned a little bit about how Clark Howard does his radio show. It turns out he tapes portions of the show well in advance and uses them later. For instance, I recorded with him yesterday and it will air in the the last segment of the one of the hours on Friday. Today I recorded a follow-up with him and it will air in the 2nd segment, around 15 after one of the hours. It’s pretty good and really shows how evil FYE are. I’ll be posting the audio to Digg and YouTube once I get it.
I’m going to be on Clark Howard tomorrow
I taped a segment with Consumer Activist Clark Howard today about the FYE bait-and-switch scheme. It should air tomorrow at the tail end of one of the hours (listen about 10 minutes before the top of each hour 1-4pm ET). I’ll try to post the audio when it airs. In short, he’s going to bust them.
Click here to listen to Clark Howard on the web Click 1-4PM ET and the player will pop-up.
Whoopie for Version Three!
Welcome to BrendanOnline version 3 dot 0. This incarnation of BrendanOnline I’m dubbing “The Same But Different Edition.” While I’ve kept the same color scheme and flash header, everything else is completely different. Take a look around. I’m sure you’ll find the site a lot easier to navigate and the layout a lot cleaner. Now that I’ve finally implemented the 3.0 milestone, I’ll be posting a lot more on the site. Look for “the best of the internet according to Brendan” on this site. Whatever I find while surfing the net along with submissions from my friends are all fair game. Anyone who’s tired of being the last to know about cool gadgets or cool and funny websites/videos should visit this site daily. Oh and there may be a thing or two that broke in the process of designing the new site. If you find something that doesn’t look quite right, send me an email and let me know about it. Thanks and enjoy the site!
Monroe bound!
About a year and a half after leaving the delightful community stuck smack dab in the middle of nowhere, I decided that I should return and see what has changed. Now I understand that Monroe is stuck in 1960s rural America and probably forever will be but there’s something about this backwards town that makes me want to return only to observe. Just by contacting several old acquaintances I’ve learned a lot about where people are in life in just one short year. Some have, like me, moved away and on to better things. Others have followed the destructive course that they were on when I knew them and have ended up just as I would have guessed. For those unfamiliar with Monroe, here are the top headlines from their local newspaper for this week:
WM man injured during argument over domino game
Child reported driving car in West Monroe
Ouachita River reopens today, closes again Wednesday
Deputies: Man tried to set his brother on fire
Woman accused of hitting husband with chair
Mud-hogging death leads to 2nd arrest
I can’t wait!
Google Analytics
Big Brother really is watching you. I figure if them boys at the NSA can spy on everyone, I might as well get in on the action. A few months ago I implemented Google Analytics sitewide and have been pouring through the stats that this thing spits out at me. I’m mostly using these stats for my own amusement and to talor the site to what the visitors are coming here for. For instance, I see that there are people coming here from the United States (duh), Japan (yo Robin!), Italy, Canada, and the Netherlands. Google is the main way that people are finding their way here followed by MSN then yahoo. I’m still a bit fuzzy as to what people are coming here for or what they want more of. Most people are visiting the photo gallery and various portions of this blog at random. If you’ve got a suggestion on where I should beef up the site, feel free to post it. Oh, and to the person that came here via a google search for “janet three’s company nice ass”, I hope you found what you were looking for.
